Nicolai Henrik Tuxen was a naval officer ending with the rank of captain. He participated in the wars against England 1801-14, partly as second in command under his elder brother Peder Mandrup Tuxen.
Nicolai Henrik Tuxen married in 1810 to Ane Kristine Fogtmann (1788-1858) of whom there is also a painting.
